I have used them three times and here is what happens, I call and someone actually answers the phone. Next there is some preliminary information gathering and an appointment is made, usually the same day. They show up on time with the part and fix the problem. Doesn't that sound simple or more accurately how it should be? I couldn't be happier with By Choice and I really appreciate being treated well. "Hi Everyone, I highly recommend Rod. He has rebuilt both our washer and dryer. Both appliances are decades old and he was able to successfully rebuild both. The washer has been running for 7 months and the dryer has been running 6 weeks with no issues. This technician knows his stuff and I have no doubt that he is as good at repairing new appliances as old. We decided to rebuild vs buy new because of the inferior quality of modern appliances. We are hoping (expecting?) to get another 20 years plus out of each. History: modern "American made" appliances are terrible quality. After around 2000 the quality suffered and it is unlikely that you will get 5 years out of an appliance without several visits from the repair man and lots of frustration. No American made brand is better than the others. Maytag is the worst."

I want to thank you for the service I received to get my refrigerator up and running again at such a reasonable cost. Rod was very personable and a joy to converse with during the repair being made. By Choice family owned business and talk with him on a Sunday over the phone and he did sound honest and fair, he came right over on Monday and I was impressed that he checked out my refrigerator and tested the problem before replacing any parts. He was very fair on price and also gives me a discount that I didn't even ask for. Thank You Rod for being honest and fair.

We called By Choice Appliance Repair on a Saturday needing immediate service for our refrigerator, before all of the food defrosted. The technician Rod came by with in 2 hours and fixed the problem fast. We were back up and running. Thanks By Choice for such fast service.

I was stood up by another company. Home Advisor called By Choice and they were there within 2 hours and had my dishwasher running in 1/2 hour! Great people!

They were able to schedule an appointment for the next morning and showed up promptly. The serviceman was helpful and pleasant. However, $200 for a 30 minute job replacing a lid switch on my clothes washer is excessive. Maybe this is par for the course with appliance repair, though I feel like it is a lot given the cost of the part and the quick nature of the repair.

Job Rate Guide quotes $203.00 that's why we charged $183.00 just trying to help!
